Feels like Magic

When I was a kid, I didn’t have much, but I was always surrounded by books. My first fascination with art came from the two fancy art books we had at our home. I don’t remember the actual names, but I know they were focusing on two famous museums: Pinacoteca di Brera in Milan, and Musée du Louvre in Paris. The books were a part of the same series and had brownish leather-bound covers. The actual text in them was way too abstract for my infantile brain to comprehend, but the books had full page color photos of the art that was housed in those two museums. Of course, since I was a boy, the nudity presented in the books was definitely a part of the allure. I’m not sure about the whereabouts of these two books anymore. They’re probably gathering dust in my dad’s attic. Fast forward some 20 years, and I’m sitting in front of my computer. I can now have AI turn a painting into a photo. This is something that wasn’t possible just a year or two ago. And honestly, it feels like magic. I sunk close to 8 hours having tons of fun. Here’s some of the images I got. I mostly used ChatGPT 2.0 and Google’s Nano Banana Pro. I had to censor a few sections since these image generators are very conservative when it comes to female breasts. I realize that I might get a lot of hate for doing this. And I’m ready. Bring it on! This is a demonstration of the current tech. It’s still not perfect. For example, both generators struggled with “The Birth of Venus” by Alexandre Cabane; the painting features a lot of fingers, and for some reason, the toes of the main subject proved to be an insurmountable challenge.
